Medical Charity 2. Myongji Hospital
Purevjargal Anudari is the youngest of four siblings living in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. Her father passed away when she was two years old. Her mother, Vanchindorj Purevjargal, struggled to pay for her education as she hoped her daughter would pursue bigger dreams despite the family’s economic hardship.
In October of 2017, Purevjargal was ready to travel to the US for one-year study program. She had been selected as a US government scholarship student. However, she was shocked to have been diagnosed with secundum type ASD after a medical examination.
Her mother could not afford to pay for her daughter’s treatment, so Purevjargal almost had to give up her hard-earned scholarship. At that time, she was selected as a beneficiary of the free surgical procedure project for foreign patients supported by Gyeonggi Province. She received a successful operation on December 14, 2017. The surgery was sponsored by Gyeonggi Province and Myongji Hospital and operated by Professor Lee Ok-jeong, a renowned pediatric cardiologist. Purevjargal happily spent the Christmas holiday in Korea as she recovered post-op. She returned to Mongolia on December 27 in fully recovered health.
Please send her warm wishes so that she can stay healthy as she continues her studies abroad in the US in 2018.
