Suwon Hwaseong Promotion Hall, located in Namchang-dong, Paldal-gu, Suwon-si, is Suwon City's pride that was established in 2007 in order to let more people learn about Suwon Hwaseong, which was registered as a World Heritage. It is a building with two stories underground and two above ground, having various facilities, such as special exhibition hall, 3D image room, permanent exhibition hall and museum shop. On the first floor, there is promotion hall that explains fortification and suffering of Hwaseong and various cultural events held in Suwon Hwaseong. Suwon Hwaseong is the crystal of the late Joseon Dynasty culture and it has high historical value, as it was built in preparation of the capital relocation which King Jeongjo had planned. Suwon Hwaseong Museum explains this fact with various materials and exhibits. Visitors can also find various information and exhibits about Hwaseng's past as well as the blueprint regarding the future of Suwon Hwaseong. People can peep through Suwon City's ambition of creating a historical culture street by establishing the museum on the other side of Hwaseong Temporary Palace and recovering buildings within Suwon Hwaseong into the traditional forms.
