Gyeonggi International Medical Association

Welcome to Gyeonggi International Medical Association (GIMA) website!

I am Tahk Seung-Jea, the President of Gyeonggi International Medical Association (GIMA), the center of international medical services in Asia.

The global medical industry has become one of the most important pillar of the Korean medical industry after the revision of the Medical Service Act in 2009. The size of the global medical market is already surpassing 120 trillion won and the Korean government is actively supporting the global healthcare industry. On top of that effort, GIMA is striving hard to provide Gyeonggi-do’s world-class medical services to a wider range of foreign patients.

GIMA, an official non-profit organization, was established in 2009 to invigorate medical institutions in Gyeonggi-do and to provide its worldly renowned medical services to broader foreign patients.

Since its establishment in 2009, the Association has put an enormous effort in vitalizing the global medical industry of Gyeonggi-do through overseas medical exhibition and academic seminars, FAM tour for medical institutions in Gyeonggi-do, overseas medical training, participating domestic/international exhibitions, operating overseas offices, voluntary medical services, and pro bono surgery.

General hospitals, teaching hospitals, specialized hospitals, and pharmaceutical companies in Gyeonggi-do are actively participating as a member of the Association and we are also running extensive projects with the support from Gyeonggi-do, The Gyeonggi-do Medical Association, Gyeonggi-do Hospital Association, and Gyeonggi Tourism Organization.

Gyeonggi International Medical Association promises to become a more enthusiastic association to work hard for the advancement of Gyeonggi-do’s global medical industry and to deliver good health and satisfaction for foreign patients.

I look forward to your great support.
Thank you.

President of Gyeonggi International Medical Service
Tahk Seung-Jea
