Q. Could you explain the key features and benefits of your product?

Seawon Meditech offers innovative medical solutions across three main product lines: Spine Alignment, Pain Management, and Aesthetic Products. Among them, ST. REED PLUS, a steerable neurolysis catheter system belonging to the Pain Management line, is designed for percutaneous epidural neuroplasty to relieve chronic pain through minimally invasive procedures. By allowing precise drug delivery into the epidural space, it effectively alleviates pain caused by spinal stenosis, herniated discs, or post-laminectomy syndrome. Its bidirectional steering control enables accurate navigation through the spinal canal, while the soft radiopaque shaft and steerable distal tip ensure both flexibility and visibility during the procedure.

ST. REED PLUS minimizes patient discomfort with no need for general anesthesia or open surgery, resulting in quick recovery and minimal risk of complications. It is easy to handle, repeatable when needed, and suitable even for patients who have undergone previous spinal surgery, offering a safe, efficient, and patient-centered approach to pain management.

Q. What are Sewon Meditech’s current top priorities?

Seawon Meditech is currently in the process of obtaining MDR certification and expects to receive the approval in the near future.

While many companies abandon certification due to time and cost challenges during the transition from MDD to MDR, Seawon Meditech remains committed to obtaining certification steadily, based on the quality of its products.

Recently, some of our product lines have already obtained MDR approval, and the remaining lines are expected to be approved smoothly in the near future.

Even after completing MDR certification, we plan to maintain our existing markets while actively expanding into Europe as well as other regions that operate CE-based registration systems, such as the Middle East and Asia. Through this approach, we aim to strengthen product reliability and global competitiveness while simultaneously establishing new partnerships and expanding market reach.

Q. What is your strategy for expanding into global markets, and what is your long-term vision?

Seawon Meditech is actively expanding its presence in the global market to become a trusted medical device company. By obtaining key international certifications such as CE and ANVISA, the company has established stable supply channels in Europe, Latin America, and Asia, while steadily increasing its market share through strategic partnerships in each region.

In addition, Seawon Meditech is strengthening product competitiveness through continuous investment in research and development (R&D) and the development of new products tailored to global market needs.

With the completion of MDR certification, the company aims to offer a product lineup that meets international standards and establish itself as a leading Korean medical device manufacturer recognized for both technology and reliability on the global stage.
