[Others] HIFU (Grace Hospital)

HIFU (Grace Hospital)

Introduction of program

A type of thermal therapy program, the HIFU therapy program involves projecting high-intensity focused ultrasound, about 65 to 100 degrees Celsius in temperature, toward myomas or tumors from outside the body in order to induce the death of tumor cells. As the procedure involves no incision, patients do not need to stay in the hospital overnight or receive general anesthesia, and there is also no risk of infection or adhesion. In general, patients recover from the procedure about three times more quickly than they would from surgery.
