IUI (Grace Hospital)
Introduction of program
IUI (Intrauterine Insemination) Program
Our artificial insemination program aims to assist fertilization by extracting active sperm from the husband when the wife is ovulating and inserting the sperm into the wife’s womb using a thin catheter. Following the procedure, the remainder of the pregnancy and birthing process may progress normally.
Typical artificial insemination processes involve inserting only a very small amount (about 0.3 cubic centimeters) of semen into the uterine cavity. At Grace Hospital, however, the fertilization program inserts a far greater quantity and positions it closer to the fallopian tubes, thereby dramatically increasing the prospects for successful fertilization.
Duration 1 hour or less
- From KRW 1,400,000 to 2,200,000 - For each additional intra-cell semen insertion (ICSI) procedure: KRW 700,000 to 1,400,000
- Our artificial insemination procedure is about 10 to 15 percent more effective than natural insemination. - Our ovulation-inducing agents can increase the likelihood of success by 20 percent. Artificial insemination is recommended - Minor male infertility, where the husband is able to impregnate but is experiencing temporary reductions in sperm count and activity. - Minor endometriosis, which makes it difficult for the wife to conceive naturally. - Sexual dysfunction, which makes it difficult for the couple to engage in sexual intercourse. - Infertility of unknown causes
