Visits Gyeonggi Province

 

 

 

 

The delegation from the Health Development Center of Mongolia (HDC) visited Gyeonggi Province on February 2 and discussed cooperation in the field of health and medical care, as well as exchanges in the training of medical professionals between the two regions.

 

The delegation from the HDC of Mongolia, consisting of two members including Director B. Narantuya and Chief B. Munkhchimeg, visited Gyeonggi Province during the period from late January to early February.

 

At the meeting, Director Yoo Young-chul of the Health Bureau, along with officials from Gyeonggi Province Health and Medical Treatment Division, including the Chief of Health and Medical Treatment Division and the Head of the Medical Industry Team, and representatives from the Gyeonggi International Medical Association, welcomed the delegation from the HDC of Mongolia.

 

 

 

 

The Director of the HDC of Mongolia expressed gratitude in his welcoming remarks for the efforts of Gyeonggi Province in successfully cooperating for the invitation of Mongolian medical professionals for clinical training and short-term training for nursing personnel.

 

In 2023, the first training program for Mongolian nursing personnel was conducted. A total of 23 individuals, including nurses recommended by the HDC of Mongolia and government officials from Mongolian regional public hospitals, were invited to Gyeonggi Province for short-term training for nursing personnel.

 

Director B. Narantuya of the HDC of Mongolia conveyed the local response, including the success of the training program and the high satisfaction of the trainees upon completion.

 

 

 

 

Furthermore, both sides shared and empathized with each other regarding current issues in the healthcare sector in Korea and Mongolia. They exchanged opinions, especially on advanced technology training such as medical information systems, and pledged to collaborate for diversifying future training programs.

 

The Director of the HDC of Mongolia expressed hope to continue medical professional training program with Gyeonggi Province in 2024. The Director discussed specific plans and expressed the intention to explore various avenues for future personnel exchanges between healthcare professionals from Korea and Mongolia, including medical support for Mongolia’s overseas medical initiatives and inviting Mongolian healthcare professionals for training visits to Gyeonggi Province.

 

 

 

The Director of Gyeonggi Province Health Bureau pledged to continue the collaboration for medical professional training and expressed a commitment to spare no effort in providing various forms of support and cooperation for this purpose.
